For research efforts to flourish, researchers should be supported by offering them cutting edge infrastructure. For this reason, CCRI aspires to offer Core Facilities & Services that will help create a fully integrated and cohesive cancer research environment.

WET LABORATORIES​

CCRI is equipped with state-of-the-art wet laboratory facilities, designed to support and advance the cutting-edge cancer research conducted by our scientists and collaborators. These wet laboratories are central to our research infrastructure, providing the essential environment where our researchers can conduct basic and translational experimental work related to the experimental lab work to thrive at CCRI. The facilities are meticulously designed to cater to a wide range of research activities, from basic biological research to advanced therapeutic development.

DRY LABORATORIES​

Dry laboratories at CCRI constitute a pivotal component of our research infrastructure, designed to complement the wet laboratory facilities by focusing on computational and theoretical research. These state-of-the-art dry labs facilitate a wide range of scientific inquiries, from computational biology, bioinformatics, and data analysis to biostatistics and theoretical modeling. They are critical in the integration and interpretation of complex data sets generated by wet lab research, ultimately accelerating the discovery and development of new cancer treatments.

OMICS

The Omics facility at CCRI shall stand at the forefront of our multidisciplinary approach to understanding and combating cancer. This specialized laboratory will be dedicated to the comprehensive analysis of the various 'omics' layers - including genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics - that collectively define the molecular and cellular makeup of cancer. By integrating data across these diverse biological dimensions, the Omics Lab aims to unravel the complexities of cancer biology, identify new biomarkers, and discover potential therapeutic targets.

FLOW

The Flow Cytometry Laboratory, commonly referred to as the Flow Lab, will be a core facility that provides essential services and expertise in the analysis and sorting of cells based on their physical and chemical characteristics. This advanced laboratory is pivotal for a wide range of research applications, including immunophenotyping, cell cycle analysis, apoptosis assessments, and functional studies of cancer cells and their microenvironment. The Flow Lab will be equipped with state-of-the-art flow cytometers and cell sorters, enabling precise and efficient analysis of complex cell populations at high speed.

MICROSCOPING AND IMAGING​

The Microscopy and Imaging Facility at CCRI will be a cornerstone of the institute's research infrastructure, offering cutting-edge technologies and expertise in visualizing the complex world of cells and molecules. The lab will include a confocal microscopy and a digital scanner for brightfield and fluorescence. This facility is instrumental in advancing our understanding of cancer biology. HISTOLOGY LAB

The Histology Laboratory at CCRI will extend its sophisticated services to encompass a wide range of samples, including mouse models, tumor organoids, and human specimens. BIOINFORMATICS

The Bioinformatics Core Facility at CCRI will be a central pillar supporting the institute's research activities, particularly in the era of big data and precision medicine. This facility provides essential computational resources, expertise, and support to manage, analyze, and interpret the vast and complex datasets generated by modern biomedical research, including genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and more.
